Mulholland Drive

This contemporary hillside home reflects the client’s love for clean lines, modern forms, and a strict black-and-white palette. ES Studio was brought onto the project midway through construction to take over and carry the design across the finish line; refining layouts, making new selections where needed, and integrating existing furniture into a cohesive, elevated interior.

The overall direction is minimal and monochromatic, with bold contrast and a focus on restraint. Rather than adding more, the approach was about refining what was already there: reworking details, softening transitions, and ensuring every element felt intentional and balanced. Some furniture was repurposed, while new pieces were layered in to complete the space without overwhelming its simplicity.

The result is a streamlined, architectural home that reflects the client’s exacting taste—modern, minimal, and quietly bold.
